Should I let her handle it even though she’s not doing anything? It scares me.
This kid is stalking your kid. Why haven't you gone to the principal long before now? Why wasn't she expelled when she made threats against the school.

My one daughter had an ex friend like this. After multiple conversations with the school I finally told them if she contacts dd again (after telling her to stop multiple times) that were pressing harassment charges and that maybe this girl and her parents needed a visit from cps to ensure mental health since she threatened suicide in school several times.

You need to get involved in a major way.

You should have talked to the school when this first started.

Of course you need to talk to the school. I don't understand why you haven't already done it?

I agree with everyone else. You need to talk to the school and let them know what is going on. Also ask your daughter to keep a record of things that happen
