"In the coming days, Starbucks will be meeting with the Kiefer Police Department to begin discussing ways to work together, including a jointly hosted Coffee with a Cop event at Starbucks where local law enforcement can meet with baristas and members of the community to discuss the critical role dispatchers and police [officers] play in keeping our communities safe," the company said.

"Together with law enforcement agencies, Starbucks will jointly look for educational opportunities for our partners across the United States to promote better understanding and respect," it added.

What more do you think Starbucks should do after this incident?

How many of these "sensitivity training" classes has a Starbucks had?

But I agree about the public proclamation.
I was kind of being sarcastic. It seems unlikely they would treat this with the same equal concern as the previous incidents.
I'm trying to remember the previous incidents.

Honestly, I don't feel this is about "sensitivity" and instead, it's about a lack of professionalism and customer service skills on the part of the employee who wrote that on the PO's cup.

And right THERE and especially given the circumstances, I strongly feel that this employee needs to be terminated.
Summary:
2 black men loitered at a table in Starbucks without ordering anything so they were asked to leave. Their "feelings were hurt" (quoting) "felt the need to run and tell the internet" (quoting) Starbucks employee was declared racist, and Starbucks across the nation closed for "sensitivity training" while serving the protected classes.

What incident was that? I know of the one in which two men had sat down to wait for a 3rd person they were meeting, the manager asked them if they were ordering and they told her they were waiting for another person, she called the cops, they were arrested, other patrons recorded the incident and posted it on line. But it couldn’t be the same incident since they didn’t run and tell the internet, in which you are “quoting”

f**k that.
I don’t think it’s uniform worship. Discrimination and bigotry is one of our greatest human weaknesses.

What "class" are you? Are you English, Scottish, Irish? Why are you so focused on race?

I was thinking more about the comments. Uniforms should be worshipped unless some don't like them testifying about their new messiah.

They didn’t run to the internet to tell everyone. People recorded them being arrested for something ridiculous and THEY put it on the internet. You’re really reaching. Nice try though, 🤷‍♀️

Setting up new policies and looking into ways to improve overall CSR skills and educate employees on learning to be more respectful is always welcome.

However, I've stated what I feel this particular employee should face....termination.

Let this situation hopefully be a lesson for future employees at Starbucks.

She apparently was fired and the police officer wants them to reconsider firing her. That sounds like a good guy.
