According to a study by the Pew Research Center, 70 percent of Americans believe homosexuality should be accepted by society. This is up from just 46 percent in 1994.

I think just about everyone believes it.

Outside of experimentation - most people believe it is a defective gene.

No one should treat them badly for it, anymore thay a cleft palate or a club foot.

I think it is a generational shift. Young people are more likely to know peers who are comfortable with own sexual identity, or to be so themselves. The more people you know from a population segment, the less fearful and misinformed you are about them.

I think this is great that more people are understanding of this. I think that its unfair to force someone to believe either as long as they are respectful.

Not sure what you are saying, as you can't "force" anyone to "believe" anything. You can make discrimination against the law, and compel public officials, law enforcement, public schools and businesses of public accommodation to treat people equally.

Discrimination yes. But people don't have to agree either just like I said
