Estranged family and people dying

All I can think of is my auntie who was in an abusive relationship when she died. Her husband had isolated her and cut her off from her family. He forced her to tell people she wanted nothing to do with them. A lot of people did not realize he was abusive and forcing her to say these things, so when she passed and her family wasn't invited to the funeral, they assumed it was her wish. The only reason I knew is because I lived with her for a while when they first got together and I saw the abuse and the seclusion first hand. I knew better and I let the family know. I didn't invite them to the funeral because I felt like drama at the funeral is worse than the pain of not being able to go to the funeral. They held their own memorial service instead.

My aunts are horrible people. One was escorted out of their father's nursing home room by police. She was screaming and hitting and old 88 year old man with dementia. He didn't even know who she was. There is never an excuse for her behavior. She is a horrible, nasty woman. I really hope I never see her again.
