DA Fani Willis and the GA Prosecutors office can resume the 2020 Georgia election interference racketeering case against former President DT and 14 of his co-defendants.

Judge Scott McAfee has ruled that either Willis or Nathan Wade should step aside to remove any doubt from the public mind of any personal relationship being a factor.

The judge made clear he believes both Wade and Willis displayed "bad judgement" but there was no evidence of any financiall benefit from anything related to the appointment of Wade.

I hope that Wade steps away quickly. I completely agree with the judges ruling.

As DA, I think Willis gets to make the call. I can't imagine that she would step down, as that would mean the entire case had to be restarted. And any appeal of the ruling would just push the start date back even farther.

Update: Nathan Wade has resigned.
