If Trump and Biden are the candidates, will they have a debate?

Or will the handlers of both men think that allowing them to debate would hurt both candidates, possibly giving RFK a better chance?

It would be uncomfortable to watch, particularly Biden.

They won’t if the democrats have a choice, but they should. People need to see Biden without notecards telling him what to say.
I agree it would be painful to watch but so many are saying Biden is mentally capable and a lot of people think that just isn’t true. The last couple days he’s been asking if he can take questions, is there anyone on staff here? Or saying he’s not allowed to take questions. Excuse me, who tells the president that he can’t answer questions? SMH

Well we did not see a single debate during the primaries, so I am not holding my breath. I think it would be good for the public discourse to have a debate and frankly I think it should be a requirement in both the primary and general election cycles.
The "Town Hall" broadcasts are ridiculous. Hand-picked audiences and heavily screened questions. No real challenge to any of the statements made.
