Since my middle sister works for RC. I'd just ask her all the stuff I needed to book, and probably book through her. I'd also start many moons in advance in case of a snafu.

Idk but I'd think California is the same. One does pay resort fees for this but it's not 400 a night either. Idk about California but I wouldn't uber around Orlando it will cost an arm and a leg. Personally I'd ask Carnival if you can rebook it or go to the Embassy. You can't be the only person with this problem.

And yes I think you're doing too much for your daughter.
Not in Nevada but here in Oregon back in the olden days. You would walk out with your license or ID that day. It's changed now. You're given a paper temp one until it arrives in the mail in 7-14 days. Same if done online. Sent an email with temp until mailed.

Reason we say you do not have any money is because you do not pay your own rent If you have the ability to go on a cruise or send your daughter to Disney for 4 days. You should be paying your own rent fully first. Do you not even feel a little bit guilty about this?

I'm not 100% sure I believe your stories. Reason is every single one you have to throw around how much money you are spending on yourself or your children. It is just a way to create drama in your posts. I got my hair, and nails done a few weeks ago and no one on here cares what I spent, nor should they.

they aren’t saying you don’t have money, they are saying that there are better decisions that could be made with your money. You currently use section 8 housing and only pay for a small portion of your rent. Not very long ago you required further assistance and have posted in the past few years about how panicked you were about money. There’s no shame in needing the help, no one should go homeless especially with children, but if you want to become economically independent and not have to rely on government funding, this isn’t a wise way to be spending your money.

It’s your money, you can spend it how you want, but you’re not going to be able to work your way out to economical independence if you keep spending thousands on vacations, concerts, casinos, etc. it’s your choice, but a financial planning class would greatly benefit you. I don’t care what you do in that aspect, but the only frustration I get out of it is people see things like this and it turns them against supporting public assistance programs for those who really need it.

I pay 30% of my income towards rent .We dont spend a lot. I definitely don't spend money on myself . Vacation is once a year. It used to be more but I cut way back its too expensive.

I don't get my hair and nails done its been YEARS .I don't wear fake nails at all i have nubs i bite my fingernails always have.I got my hair done ONCE last year because i thought that guy was interested in me but he was not and i felt SO stupid wasting money getting my hair done.I haven't had it done it since. I do keep dd appearance up because that's my job as a mom but me? Nope! I wear my sneakers until i get holes in them same with my clothes.I live in leggings and graphic tees when i get holes in them i buy a new pair of leggings so once every couple of years?

Do you know how bad I always wanted a LV purse and I STILL won't allow myself to buy one even though it wouldn't hurt my pockets any? I don't do anything at all for myself. I won't even allow myself to book a free hotel room alone to have a momcation.I'd feel guilty.

The money I spend on vacations, concerts etc. isnt govt money
..that is money I saved from other means that I did not spend.Thats car accident settlement money,my mom's estate money, income tax money etc. That I have not touched so I just let it sit and collect interest. Thats not my INCOME.Its an asset tes but I cant pay rent with that money it wouldn't last.

My money is pretty much gone anyway because i have to use it for liposuction. My lymphedema is so so much worse now and the only way to normalize my legs is liposuction and its considered cosmetic I have to pay out of pocket for it.

Im not using my kids savings or our emergency fund to fund the surgery I've been ubering extra hours i want to have the money for it by next winter.

It doesn’t matter if it isn’t the physical government money that you spent on the trips, concerts, casinos, etc, it’s money that could have been saved and invested into things that would provide you a more financially stable future. Why are you spending thousands on a four day vacation when you need a medical procedure that you currently can’t afford and are going to have to save another year now in order to afford? A medical procedure that would further your mobility and in turn give you more opportunities for financial gain?

I’m not saying if you are on assistance you should never have a single nice thing, but when you put extravagant trips before medical procedures and working to pay your own rent, you’re just making it a whole lot harder on yourself to ever reach independence. And I’ve been there, I have had financial struggles in the past. But you never take anyone’s advice anyway so I don’t know why I bother responding. I understand that you’ve had things in your past that make you always defensive and unable to see yourself as anything but the victim, but there’s a lot out there that could help you if you just put in that effort.
