Basically the gist of this story is the woman paid over 3 grand for the dog that only cost $1500. Now the company she financed through is saying pay us another $300 something or we take your dog.
The article says the dog was $1500 and she paid $145.19 ON TIME (so no late fees) for 23 months. Now they are demanding one more payment or they'll take the dog.

It seems she's already paid more than enough for the pup and even with interest rates that seems awfully high.
Am I missing something?

if you can't save up a couple thousand dollars for a dog-you probably don't need a dog

I can't believe people actually pay thousands of dollars for dogs. That is the most baffling part of this story.
That is a ridiculous amount to pay for a dog, but unless they were intentionally misled, they did agree to it.
They apparently had no problem with paying over $3000 already. It seems kind of stupid to withhold that last $350, especially if the company is within their rights to repossess the dog.

She financed a lease not a loan. They are two totally different things. This lady made three incredibly stupid moves. 1. getting a dog that costs thousands of dollars. 2. getting a dog that she can't afford. and 3. Not reading her paperwork and knowing what she was signing. It's all on her. The one I feel bad for is that dog. I hope she gets smart and doesn't let that dog get yanked away from her family.

I didn’t know a dog could be repossessed.

I mean really, what do they do with them?
