Arizona. I have lived in Pennsylvania, Florida, Maryland, Virginia, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Alabama. It is ok here. I hate the cold so I can tolerate the heat pretty well. It’s like 9 months of nice and 3 months of hell every year. Now it is hot (110 today) and it seems like the whole state is on fire.
We have had a big surge in Covid cases in the last 10 days. We didn’t seem to get hit at first too badly so I consider this the first wave. I hope the numbers start trend downward soon.
What state do you live in?

We’re in Massachusetts. We’re originally from California and all our family still lives there. We love the four seasons, the proximity to Stowe and the Cape, and the schools are great.
Mass is now doing well with the pandemic. Baker is slowly opening up the state now that hospitals are over the surge (for now).

We're in New York. I'm a born and bred Brooklyn girl but we live upstate now. Hopefully, soon, we will be in Israel.
I live in SA. Covid hasn't been bad here, we have only had 4 deaths.
I love it here. I lived in WA when I was growing up but I prefer SA.

But when the shit was hitting the fan, weren't you mad because they were keeping the casinos closed? I thought you wanted them open.

Any other TN mamas?
I typically love living in Arizona. Right now we are doing crappy with Covid. I believe we are kind of making national attention because our Governor opened us wide up and our numbers are skyrocketing. And especially locally, our Mayor is too chicken to do anything like requiring masks etc so our local numbers are horrible. We are one of three "big" cities in our county and for the longest time we had the lowest numbers out of the three. Now we are by far the biggest out of the three.
Kids locally go back to school on July 29th. I know the districts are discussing options. The HS district sent out parent surveys to find out who has access to remote learning, who has masks, etc, etc. Nothing definite has been announced as far as how they are handling it. I think our numbers will get even worse when the kids go back.

I live in the province of Ontario. We're not doing too bad with COVID. Only have around 120 cases in the counties my health unit covers and it's a decent sized area.

Michigan, born and raised.
We live in Arizona and I've personally been here for 47 years (I moved here right after my 7th birthday from California) with my husband having been here for nearly 63. All three of our kid's were born here.
We love it here and have no intention of moving elsewhere with exception to the dream of moving to northern AZ.
As for Covid, we reopened too soon on May 15th and because our cases/deaths numbers were low. Little did we know, we were barely in the beginning stages of the "first wave" and combine that w/both the big holiday weekend of Memorial Day, along with the protests, and viola...we're one of the new "hot spots" in the U.S.

The casinos are Nevada jurisdiction, not Arizona. Two different governors. My big concern was for the job loss. We are all still figuring it out as we go but at this point 100% open is not the answer any more than 100% closed.
