Looks like he went to a foreign country during the Cold War to try and make peace with this particular city during a sister city trip
He adapted to his surroundings and complimented his hosts like a good guest in a foreign nation
Go to any other country and they make you do weird shit for tradition
I thought it was a nice show of unity that they were all able to sing this land is your land during the height of the Cold War when the USA and Russia were in their most contentious relationship and threatening nuclear war constantly
He went on a humanitarian trip during his honeymoon way to go Bernie
