The Gentlemen Only, Ladies Forbidden club modified their rules?
Well by becoming female these biological men just became second class as you would say. If they're taking the hormones and getting the surgery they're going far beyond makeup and clothes. That being said I'm unsure how I feel about this. There might be a day when all sports compete as wrestlers do by weight, not by S*x. Or transgender women may compete with men and vice versa. I've no dog in this. I think it's up to the athletes and the coaches themselves to decide what is best.Quorra2.0 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2020 9:04 amI agree. I’m also troubled by the message we are also sending to young girls, that they are still second class citizens. A big part of being female, is that history. Being female isn’t about about make up, the clothes or shoes you wear. Those who are transgender should understand what being second class is, and should exhibit the same empathy and compassion they are wanting to receive.SouthernIslander wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2020 8:21 amI think it’s fair to say that biological males put girls at a major competitive disadvantage. Completely support LGBT community but compromise in areas like this is reasonable.WellPreserved wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2020 7:58 am
So "you do you" with certain exceptions and boundaries?
In my life I've never known of a golf course not allowing women.Thelma Harper wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2020 7:58 pmI wouldn't have even thought they needed to change anything.
Of course not. We aren't that old, lol
Augusta allows women to be members now. Also women could play with a male member prior to this.WellPreserved wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2020 8:53 pmAugusta?Carpy wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2020 8:41 pmIn my life I've never known of a golf course not allowing women.Thelma Harper wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2020 7:58 pm

It’s more based off of handicap than specifically gender but in a tournament youths use the closest tee box to the green, women the next one further, and men the furthest tee box.Valentina327 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2020 4:29 pmI don't golf so I have no idea if there's an advantage. I didn't even know there were men and woman tees. LOLCarpy wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2020 2:58 pmShould men be able to tee of from the women's tees?Valentina327 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2020 11:04 am
You're right. For example, I wouldn't want to be drafted. I worried about that when I was younger, because if you want total equality that means we register for selective service and could be called up just like the boys. Not me. I'm too old now
And the handicap was based primarily off of women having less strength.Quorra2.0 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2020 10:00 pmIt’s more based off of handicap than specifically gender but in a tournament youths use the closest tee box to the green, women the next one further, and men the furthest tee box.Valentina327 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2020 4:29 pmI don't golf so I have no idea if there's an advantage.
