We spend a lot of time outdoors in the winter so ours are around $400, but my children are done growing as well. Now my other winter jackets for work and going out are $100 or less. Yes sad to say I have 6 winter jackets (one parka type and 5 dress jackets most of them are not warm at all) - we are in Southern Ontario

I'd say $30 to $60. We're in SoCal, but I get DS a good winter coat for when he goes to Winter Camp. When he was young I'd get them end of season like that one poster. I got him one last year at a good deal on Black Friday. With Kohl's discounts and sales and everything I think I got him a $120 men's winter coat (That he actually didn't complain about when it arrived) for about $40 or $50.

I live in VA now, but recently moved from upstate NY. Last jacket I bought up there was a Patagonia good winter jacket for my nine year old, it cost $50 from a second-hand store, but it had never been worn with the tags still on. We have spent more, but that is typical for us.

Maybe 400 or so for my own, far less for the children's, we're in the UK.
