Did they or didn’t they use a white supremacy symbol???
The military really isn’t bigoted- at least when we were a military family for 21 years we knew a bunch of good people in the USA and Europe. Good people of different races and nationalities who all worked together and cared.
This seems to be an overreaction.
They were acting like nitwits. Probably your ex husband did the same.

The military isn't bigoted? Seriously?!

I could never imagine being as idealistic as you.
Who is the THEY in this topic? West Point cadets?
You just asked yourself who was acting like nitwits!

But I also disagreed with the accusation that all members of the military are “ nit wits”.
We were a military family until 1987. I don’t know if the current batch of enlisted or officers are any different. But it’s true that higher education is responsible for more mature , accepting behavior and less irresponsible prejudiced behavior (and fewer “nit wits”)
The effect of higher education on civilians is also positive.

Can you FREAKING read? Where did I say that all members of the military are NITWITS?
Oh my goodness...
Still can't understand what you're reading.

But I'm still the winner! They lied! They cheated! They stole the election!

There is bigotry in the military. I had friends who were told they couldn’t associate with me because I was an officer’s child, I knew people who wouldn’t let their children play with the kids of enlisted personnel. Not to mention the sexism, or that they had to implement a don’t ask don’t tell policy. All of which was far more prevalent during the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and even 90’s. Bigotry has a far broader definition and includes more than just racism or prejudices against nationalities.

This! I'll never forget a four year old neighbor berating me for asking her to not harass my dog ("I don't have to listen to you, your husband is just a Specialist"). Not only is it a problem within ranks, many of their kids pick it up.

I could write a novel on the rank divide. I wasn’t raised to play that game, so it always stuck out to me when I witnessed it.
