PSA: if you're 45 or older

Had one a few years back. All was fine. Not planning on spending the money to have another any time soon.

Did your insurance company give you a hard time about covering the cost of it?
And if you didn't use your insurance, do you mind telling me how much it cost?

Ok but Im older than 50 and in perfect health. My doctor said I dont need one now due to no risk factors. I do take the colorguard test at home and mail it to the lab

No. That's what has changed. Just like if you're a woman you need to start getting mammograms regardless of risk.
Actually the recommendation for mammograms is higher now. 50 I think.

I have the flipping cologuard sitting in my bedroom and trust me that pita test is bad enough. I'm not spending my valuable weekend doing that crappy prep for a colonoscopy. Sorry but no. Get back to me when I'm 60.

The screening is recommended at age 50 for both men and women, but there are options out there outside of an invasive colonoscopy.

I've had one of the tests listed in my link...a blood test, essentially...that showed no issues. Will do this again in July of next year.

WHAT? Breast cancer is on the rise and age at diagnosis is getting younger. WTF?
