Exactly.
Momto2boys973 wrote: Mon Jun 24, 2019 8:14 am You’re right. I’m sure every social group has been a victim of injustice at some point, somewhere. It’s part of our human history. We don’t go all around demanding to be paid because previous generations had different ideas and sometimes acted wrongly.
Anonadon wrote: Sun Jun 23, 2019 5:01 pm Rad. Does that mean I can get reparations for the student loans I paid, since she wants free college for all?

Our taxes are already mismanaged by a corrupt government, you really think giving these people more of our money is a good thing?
Free healthcare
Free education

How about free cars? Free housing? Free electric? Free phones? Oh, wait... Obama did that, didn't he? How well did that go?

Nothing is stopping you from opening your purse and paying for some stranger to go to school. Go for it.
Reagan started the “ free phone “ plan. Bush continued it.
Your reply is lots of fun, plenty of sarcasm, self indulgent reasoning.
Makes zero sense though.

Yes, but only democrats call it the "obama phone"
No they don’t.
Republicans made fun of it, called it a part of Obama’s free stuff - Obamaphone was just another way to bash Obama and was part of the same old sarcasm from
Conservatives about “free stuff “.
So ironic since the free phones were began by two Republicans- Reagan and Bush.

Wow. Ok. 6 of the 7 states according to this article are either blue or a swing state.

Clearly I do.

For fun, I just looked up which states are the most, and least, educated. Every single one in the bottom ten was a poor southern state. Here are the bottom five (the number next to each is their score out of 100). My state was number one, but that’s not a surprise.
Least educated:
Mississippi: 21
West Virginia: 22
Louisiana: 23
Arkansas: 27
Alabama: 31

Your state was number 1. woo hoo! Your arrogance is not unnoticed. But I guess that explains why you assume poor people want a hand out.

Discouraging.
How much more in taxes would you like to pay so that we can pay every Tom Dick and Harry that's going to come out of the woodwork over this stupid bullshit?
Reparations isn't going to do a damn thing. The politicians use it for VOTES and then it goes nowhere. What's discouraging is people actually think this woman has good ideas. She's been in office for HOW many years? What has she proposed and got passed? 1 bill? 2?
She needs to get her ass back in that democratic clown car.
Her idea about reparations will not work.
But the comments about her in this thread are prejudiced.
Here’s what conservatives like to say about her .

https://facts.elizabethwarren.com/when- ... -strategy/
"During Elizabeth Warren’s first Senate campaign in 2012, the right-wing machine invented a 100% false story that Elizabeth lied about her heritage and used it to advance her career"

The headline of your article. It wasn't an invented false story! She's been battling about this for years, and last year she finally did a test and was found to be 1/1024! 1/1024! She's a joke! It absolutely wasn't a false story at all. You can't claim yourself as any group when you're 1/1024!

I don't recall any of what was said about her being used as a negative toward native Americans. That was never the intention. The comments were made about her alone, trying to appropriate a proud culture for her own personal and professional gain.

This article jumps right up on it's soapbox and goes on and on, in typical left wing SJW fashion, ranting about something that isn't even germaine to the topic and never even happened. It's more of the usual manufacturing of something to be offended about that we've all come to expect from the left, on a daily basis. Grave offenses that don't even exist in the first place. Your people are exhausting.

Who pays for the food that the students are fed, for free? Who pays for the upkeep of the college and all buildings? Who pays for anything new that’s needed?
Ask the countries that offer free or inexpensive college- Germany, Sweden , Norway, etc.
But think about it....
TAXES.
It wouldn’t work in the good old USA though because most Americans are too stingy and cheap to contribute tax money to provide college education for anyone. Or just about anything.
The main idea , their philosophy, their goal is : is” lower taxes”!
I'm already donating 40% of what I EARN for them to squander. Really, when is enough enough? You're punished by earning more. It's just more to be taken away. What exactly motivates anyone to bother to improve themselves when the government just keeps reaching in your pocket to donate to those who don't want to do anything? We ALL might as well just stay home and collect.

Once that happens, the entrepreneurs and high wage earners get disgusted enough, WHERE DOES THE LEFT GET THEIR MONEY FROM THEN TO GIVE EVERYTHING AWAY?

Well then...
This issue is wasted on you since you’re not aware of where a huge chunk of your tax money goes.

Example: our taxes are spent on a horrendous amount of money devoted to military weaponry, government contracts that provide the ability to kill millions of people in foreign countries who have no interest in attacking US.
How’s that?
I’d rather spend my Fed taxes on education . It looks like education is desperately needed.

I mean, if ad hominem is all you have...

Yes, my state prides itself on education. But that’s not my doing, so your arrogance comment is misdirected.

Nah - I was going back to my original statement of you assuming and you are. Also being stereotypical. "Why don't those dumbass red states vote blue?? We can just give them everything they need. Those poor poor people. So stupid. So dumb."
