It wouldn't have bothered me. I think all bathrooms should be gender neutral to begin with.

Perhaps if we had better stall doors (as in no gaps), people would not get so bent out of shape about who is using the facilities.

I would not have an issue with this. There are exceptions to most rules. On another note, I have traveled often to places where bathrooms were universal.
