If you’re well trained your trained for center mass. You shoot to kill not injure. If she just shot him in the arm or leg he’s still a threat. Adrenaline makes you move even after you’ve been shot. He could have still killed her if she’s shot hi in the arm or leg.
Is it legal to deliberately shoot to kill?
I couldn’t live with myself if I chose to kill .
There has to be a moral and responsible way to deal with these situations in life.
I thought killers were in jail for killing people?
How can you justify it?

If they break into your home? Yes! Or go to attack you.

Police are trained to disable, eliminate a threat, not kill.
Oh and by the way:
I doubt that people who buy a gun and go somewhere to learn to use it will be trained to shoot to kill.

It is legal to deliberately shoot to kill in certain situations.

However, it is illegal to beat up an officer, escape from jail, break into a woman's home at 3:00am and walk into her bedroom with a weapon.

It’s called self defense. And yes it’s legal. You don’t go to jail for self defense. That criminal broke into her house and brought a weapon into her bedroom she had every right to kill him. I’m only 5’1 if someone breaks into my house it means that that want to cause harm into my person. I will shoot to kill. If it comes to his life or a member of my family I’m choosing to take his life.

That is what Zimmerman used to kill Trayvon.

Shoot to eliminate a threat, not “shoot to kill”.

From your article:

"We train our officers to shoot upper center mass — No. 1 it's the biggest target — if we have to use lethal force," Halloran said. "If we have to shoot at somebody, it's hard enough to hit this, because very seldom is someone just standing there."
