That would depend on what he does at Dairy Queen. One of my high school classmates started out as a stocker at Walmart and by 32 he was a manager, making a nice living.
You don't make a nice living at Walmart.

Thats a pretty nice living in most areas with a reasonable cost of living

I have no idea who or what this is about, but regardless. Turning down a date doesn't make anybody a horrible person. There's no such thing as a wrong reason not to date someone. You don't owe anyone a date.

Meh. He has a job and a car (that's presumably his and paid off). If he were jobless and living with Mom in the basement, I'd be worried.
