It’s a bit of a long read. I can’t really highlight one portion of the story to focus on, because well it’s a story…a heartbreaking story. IMO, this story is pertinent to most of what has been discussed here in the last several days…Christianity, LGBTQ+, culture wars, etc.

Genuinely one of the most heartbreaking things I have read in a while. A lovely man is gone because of some jerks with a vendetta.
"The First Baptist Church of Phenix City did not abandon Bubba Copeland, even after learning the secrets that he might not have been able to explain even to himself."

Because this is Christ-like...

Bubba was Christ-like and his congregation reflects that.
I'm going to be thinking about this story for a long time.
