MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Turning Point USA, the organization that brought Kyle Rittenhouse to the University of Memphis, says they were discriminated against.

"Students and local and state leaders are all weighing in on the guest appearance. They say allowing Rittenhouse to appear on a campus whose student body is 40% black makes students uncomfortable and sends the wrong message.
“I was baffled to be honest. This is clearly an event that is here to incite anger amongst a predominantly black college in a predominantly black city where MLK was killed. They knew what they were doing with this,” said Joe Griz, a University of Memphis student."

Did TPUSA move to have Rittenhouse speak at U of M in order to claim discrimination?
Was it on purpose?

Probably. But didn't Rittenhouse already blow it by saying publicly he wasn't "run off"? He said there was a hard 30 minute deadline and he spoke for 30 minutes. Can't have it both ways.

Rittenhouse never had any altercations with Black people to begin with.
The only altercation he got into was with a White child rapist that went after him and got shot and then two more white men who were there to take advantage of the looting that was going on as opposed to having anything to do there concerning Black Civil Rights.
They were all white men taking advantage of a Black Man’s death to come up on some free shit.

Is TPUSA simply promoting Second Amendment to a university that's about 40 percent Black?

If you actually cared about constitutional rights and knew that many legal scholars wrote about this right being systematically denied to Black people… would you think it would be a good idea to advocate for those constitutional rights in a place black people might hear about it?Della wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 8:24 amSlimshandy wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 8:01 am Rittenhouse never had any altercations with Black people to begin with.

You're alleging I don't know about those things like I haven't lived in the south for almost 60 years.Slimshandy wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 8:36 amIf you actually cared about constitutional rights and knew that many legal scholars wrote about this right being systematically denied to Black people… would you think it would be a good idea to advocate for those constitutional rights in a place black people might hear about it?Della wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 8:24 amSlimshandy wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 8:01 am Rittenhouse never had any altercations with Black people to begin with.

Considering the group, TPUSA, is mired in racist allegations against it, I'm wondering why you seem to be defending it.

Are we already discussing a White, child rapist that just got out of prison and felt like looting some stores as being deserving of even being mentioned in the same sentence as Professor Martin Luther King, a strong Black man who fought his entire adult life to lift up Black Voices?WellPreserved wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 9:29 amIn this context?Slimshandy wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 8:36 amIf you actually cared about constitutional rights and knew that many legal scholars wrote about this right being systematically denied to Black people… would you think it would be a good idea to advocate for those constitutional rights in a place black people might hear about it?

I’d say there is definitely some spin going on there…
