About a week ago I was at work and had some pain in my right armpit. So I checked and had a swollen lymph node. It seemed to appear out of nowhere.
Google says it's my body fighting an infection but I feel fine aside from a cough.
It has gotten significantly smaller but it's still there and hasn't changed in size in at least 3 or 4 days. It's a little painful but not a lot.
I can't just not wear deodorant which is another thing Google says to do. I wax mine so shaving didn't cause it.
I'm worried it might be cancer or something. Which probably sounds ridiculous but I have never had a lymph node stay swollen this long.
I have tried warm compresses and ibuprofen but to no avail.
Worried about a lymph node
Stop googling and make an appointment to see a doctor.Anonymous 1 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2019 9:43 pm About a week ago I was at work and had some pain in my right armpit. So I checked and had a swollen lymph node. It seemed to appear out of nowhere.

If you are worried, it wouldn’t hurt to see a doctor. Is the node moveable?

I can't move it all around but yes I can move it somewhat.

I would just have it checked out to be on the safe side.
Best wishes.

Worth a trip to your PCP (or GYN). I had one do that in my neck, and my PCP checked it out and said sometimes they get inflamed and then never get as small as they once were.
