The oranges of the island are like blazing fire
Amongst the emerald boughs
And the lemons are like the paleness of a lover
Who has spent the night crying.
My soul was ripped to shreds on 10/27/14

I dont know what most of those dishes are but have a great TG.Olioxenfree wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 11:57 am My sister and I are responsible for the turkey and my husband is making cranberry sauce and a salad with apples and figs. My kids are making onigiri. My parents are making sriracha deviled eggs, kabocha korokke, persimmons in tofu sauce, and spinach gomaai. My grandfather is making a sushi platter . My grandmother is making eggplant oyaki. My cousin's family is bringing the dessert, chocolate hazelnut crepes. My grandparents are also making cookies with my kids to go bring to police and fire stations after dinner.
Thats easy and simple to do and less stressful for you, this year anyway:)Msprekteacher wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 12:06 pm Originally I was going to do it here and have it catered. Then my Mom and Dad asked if they could have it at their house. I will do Christmas Eve instead. So...all I have to do is pumpkin and apple pies.

So far I've decided on cranberry brie tart bites and bacon wrapped pimento cheese jalapeno poppers for appetizers.
What are you cooking?
Other than a couple of desserts, I do it all. I've been doing it for about 15 years now & have it down to a science. Helps that I have 2 kitchens in my house. Also cuts out a lot of hassle & oven rotation issues to deep fry the turkeys. All the desserts will be made & everything else assembled & ready to go into the oven Thanksgiving morning. I'll start prep work the Monday before Thanksgiving & be busy as shit until dinner hits the table. Then I open a bottle of wine & relax. By the time the food hits the table I'm so over it all. lolAnonymous 1 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 12:17 pmHoly smokes lady, is anyone helping you?Anonymous 5 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 12:00 pm I finished my menu this week & began doing some light shopping yesterday. I don’t think I’ll have the chance to be bad LOL I’m cruising with my Mom but we’ll have fun
Honey, I'm the original one-eyed chicklet in the kingdom of the blind, 'cause at least I admit the world makes me nuts.

But my googling skills arent stellar. Can you share the link?
You have a summer kitchen also, thats so cool. I havent met anyone irl that had a second kitchen in their house. Thats what the realtor called the kitchen in the basement when we bought the house.Anonymous 5 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 12:55 pmOther than a couple of desserts, I do it all. I thought I cooked too much food for TG and Christmas but You have me beat. It helps to have 2 stoves and a wall oven, 3 fridges and 2 large freezers.
You can be a little bad after your mom goes to sleep
