My take is that I am glad I never had to deal with BM /SM step children drama and that her husband is a p**sy who is allowing his brat daughter to run the house.

I think proceeding without her would be a very good life lesson for a child who sounds pretty cowtowed to.
Same here. She'd be staying home with her mother.

I would go with my kids and maybe invite my mom or a friend to go with us if my SD was that petty and my DH such a spineless idiot.

That would be the final straw for me and there had to be way more signs of that girl running their relationship. I tell any woman to run from a man who especially has daughters.
