Vintage death photos (WARNING)
What buggers me the crap out is that they'd paint 'eyes' on the eyelids of the deceased for a more 'natural' photograph.

Momento Mori
The oranges of the island are like blazing fire
Amongst the emerald boughs
And the lemons are like the paleness of a lover
Who has spent the night crying.
My soul was ripped to shreds on 10/27/14

Crazy!
Just so you know. The stand to hold a dead person standing up is a myth. The stand was actually used to help keep a live person still during the actual photo shoot

So...the dead person is standing on their own two feet? How does that work?MysticDreamer wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 3:06 am Just so you know. The stand to hold a dead person standing up is a myth. The stand was actually used to help keep a live person still during the actual photo shoot
They never were stood up. The stand was to hold the living person still while the photo was being taken. That is why you see pics of caskets propped next to the family.KendallsMom wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 2:32 amSo...the dead person is standing on their own two feet? I did find a modern post mortem pic where they stood the guy up in the corner. I need to find that pic and see how they did that.
Here. I can't find the image I was thinking of, but I found this. Modern post mortemKendallsMom wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 2:32 amSo...the dead person is standing on their own two feet?
