Lovely - I'm sure it will become a family heirloom. We still use the bowls my DH's father turned in his workshop in the 1950's. One is on my kitchen table filled with fruit right now!

Pretty. Nice job
The oranges of the island are like blazing fire
Amongst the emerald boughs
And the lemons are like the paleness of a lover
Who has spent the night crying.
My soul was ripped to shreds on 10/27/14

Did you turn it?
I’m so tempted to get a lathe. I’m trying to decide if it’s something that I’d be able to pretty much figure out on my own or not.

I did! A family friend gave me a wood lathe, a bowl turning system and an awesome sanding system along with a few smaller tools. It's been a lot a fun and he has been teaching me as I go.SolidlyAverage wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 11:20 am Did you turn it?
