I think my DD found the idea on youtube or something. You take a hershey bar and then hot glue 2 candy canes under it and that part looks like a sled, and then you put their favorite candy on the hershey bar on top (like the gifts on a sled). This year by daughter added googly eyes to the end and a little nose and a little jingle bell. It was really cute and she really enjoyed making them! :)

She asked them all what their favorite candy was and then we made candy sleigh things and put their fave candy on them. They turned out really cute. I thought about getting them more but DD said it was enough and I thought so too.
That sounds like a cutye idea. I like that you made it personal with their favorite candy. I usually try to personalize it , too...but to be honest, time kind of got away from me this year so gift cards were the easy way out.

Well, at least on this topic she doesn't know what she is talking about. Is that fair? ;)

I was gonna do $10 but the only gift cards I could find at the store we were currently at were $15 and up so Dd's teacher got a $15 giftcard to Target.

I think your gift was kind and generous. And I think your sister should keep her opinions to herself.

I think that's plenty. We gift bigger to her main teacher (She's in first grade) and then smaller for the other teachers. We got her main teacher a broach (She collects them) and a 25 dollar gift card.

For her other teachers, we put together candy sleighs and a 5 dollar gift card.
