Has that ever happened? Dispatch generally routes ambulances to avoid heavy traffic areas so I would assume that if an ambulance encounters a protest, they are not on an emergency call.

I remember outrage during BLM protests when an ambulance was blocked by protestors. It was on the way to the gas station to refuel, lol.

I think people have selective outrage depending on their views regarding the protest or march. For example, someone may be outraged by the inconvenience caused by the pro-Palestinian marches but have cheered on the "Truckers' Convoy" that shut down the DC beltway a couple of years ago. Sure, some people may hate them all but everyone should feel lucky that we live in a country where the right to peacefully protest is embedded in our Constitution. Unlike, say Saudi Arabia and we all know how the Saudi government dealt with Arab Spring protests.

Yesterday there was an ambulance with its lights on, being blocked.

They do not have the right to block traffic.

They never had the right to block traffic…

If they want the right to a peaceful protest, they need to either get a permit or stand on a sidewalk.

Essentially Holding people hostage was never their right.

If you want, you can google “ambulance blocked by protest “ and a bunch come up…

It’s not a one time thing, blocking ambulances is happening…

It shouldn’t need to be a case by case basis, as an nation we should be willing to say “ blocking an ambulance is not ok”

They think it’s a myth?

This is the first page for me:

SEATTLE, Wash. — During the Friday afternoon protest on northbound I-5 in downtown Seattle, protesters blocked an ambulance that was treating a 37-year-old male who was in critical condition.

Bottom line, these were not protests that had legal permits in SF. They were planned and coordinated with other protests yesterday from around the world.

The SF/Golden Gate Bridge protest in particular lasted for hours, inconveniencing many, including people who had medical appointments.

Want to make a statement and be taken seriously as well as respected? Don't do THIS.

The article you posted was from 2022…saying it’s a myth.

The first article I posted was from the same time proving that it happened, even though that article said it’s a myth.

The second article is from 2 months ago…

So now that it’s shown to happen… are you willing to say that blocking an ambulance is not ok?

Edit: found an article specifically saying ambulances were blocked.

“It was an orchestrated event that they put forth,” California Highway Patrol Chief Don Goodbrand said. “They blocked three separate locations on freeways. They prevented law enforcement, paramedics, ambulances from getting to their points of destination.”
