Same. I don’t feel sorry for people who commit severe crimes. But the older I get, I see what jail has done to some of my classmates , so my views on violence and rape in prison isn’t the same anymore.

I’m not really sure what I think of this. One one hand I agree with the last part of Ellison’s quote. And I generally do not condone violence…but I’m indifferent.
