White people had generation after generation to build wealth for their families while black people were locked out of it, slavery only being a portion of that. Hell, you could point to reparations needed because of redlining practices and you would find people *today* that were a victim of that. Stop acting like this is ancient history. The rest are all perfectly reasonably things that many other first-world, industrialized nations have, and you honestly would not be able to think of good reason NOT to have these things, other than greed and selfishness.

Also, laughing forever at the prostitutes one. Like that is the ONLY group of people that should be let out of jail, hahahaha.
ask how many people receive any type of inheritance? I know I didn't and both parents are dead. there are generations of white people who have always had poor ancestors, then there are some black people who are rich or come from rich families, so how is this fair? Here's what I want to know, if reparations were paid would that be the end of affirmative action? right now wealthy black students can get into prestigious schools with lower SAT scores than a poor white or asian people. is this justice to the left?
Individual cases are always going to show disparities, but overall, right now, white high school dropouts have more wealth than black and hispanic college graduates. It's not all about the ability to inherit something. Just something simple like home ownership helps close the wealth gap. I can't speak much to affirmative action, other than it's a small way to attempt to make up for black and brown students being systematically denied college education. SAT scores are generally a piss poor way to determine eligibility into a school, and again, you have to consider a variety of factors that go into scores such as economics, segregated schools, funding, availability of after school programs and tutoring, parental involvement, and on and on and on. There is no easy answer. But there are some moderate solutions to legitimate, quantifiable problems.

It’s not a comprehensive plan by any means but I like the idea of indexing employer to employee income. Like, you cannot receive a wave higher than, say, 15x that of your lowest paid employee, or perhaps an average of all employee wages? I think executive level pay is something like 33x the average worker’s pay now, so the upper class could still remain quite wealthy, but it would disincentivize wage depression/wage theft. And it still allows for a very profitable business owner to be very highly paid, just makes them do it by compensating their employees instead of exploiting them. Also, since most wealth is inherited, a one-time wealth tax and a massive overhaul of inheritance laws would be important too.

There is a vanishingly small number of people in whose hands an obscenely disproportionate percentage of wealth is concentrated. There is no legitimate way to pretend they just worked hard enough to earn or produce it. There has been a concentrated, deliberate effort to exploit, manipulate, and erode policy in such ways as to allow it to be collected and hoarded. The financial impact on the middle and lower classes is demonstrable and undeniable if you look at the numbers. They have more because everyone else has less. There is practically a road map of data showing their wealth and income growing at the expense of everyone else. And there is no reason we can’t or shouldn’t change policy to reverse that impact.

My in-laws have a boat, a beach house, a house in the mountains, a Camaro, and a 100 acre farm in Illinois. Do you think he has too much money? He invested his money when he was young and is doing very well now.

Yes. They absolutely are terrorists. That's precisely what they are. Any group that loots, burns down buildings, shoots police in the head, and commandeers 6 city blocks holding residents and businesses hostage are domestic terrorists.

Two of the founders are trained Marxists. By their own admission. They are versed in anarchy and how to run a take over. Make no mistake, they are trying to overthrow our country and turn it communist. This isn't anything hidden any longer. Thus the anarchy and demands. This has been planned for a long time. Some of us have been watching this unfold. I don't think anyone can intelligently argue it at this point. Anyone who has been paying attention, anyone who's been looking into BLM and who they align with can plainly see what's happening.

These activities of the last 3 weeks are not from decent people - protesters with legitimate concerns trying to effect change. They are activities of terrorists attempting a coup. They are stoking more racial tension. They are amping up fear. They are promulgating chaos across our nation.

They should be dealt with accordingly. They need to be eviscerated by the full force of the United States and everything we've got, until they are no more.

Yes! They should have to give it all away to support the people who don't feel like working as hard or making the sacrifices for years to attain a comfortable position in their life. That damned ambition is sooooo overrated! Why work when you can just demand and live off of someone else's sweat?

We should start with the leader of CHAZ/CHOP, Raz, having to liquidate his assets to support all of those "autonomous" people he's leading. A few lucrative Air BNBs, a recording studio, a couple of luxury cars, a couple of small businesses too. All started with an $83,000 grant. $83,000 in free money. That ought to sustain those "autonomous" people for a while before they have to crawl back to live in mommy's basement again.

Seems like a pretty common negotiating tactic - take extreme positions, work towards an agreement to less extreme but still acceptable concessions towards the middle with the other side, who then feel like what they’ve agreed to is more reasonable.

Or according to the BLM president of NYC, "We Will Burn Down This System" If Country Doesn't Give Us What We Want."

And he means that figuratively....literally...however we wish to see it.

The arrogance is astounding.

Hawk Newsome, the president of Greater New York Black Lives Matter, threatened to "burn down this system" if "the country doesn't give us what we want" in an interview Wednesday with FOX News host Martha MacCallum.

When you make demands and threaten to commit more acts of violence if they're not met, that is terrorism.

should everyone burn down cities, seize federal property, vandalize and loot until they get whatever policies they want enacted? that's not how this works. they can go vote, they can peacefully protest, giving them what they want with no consideration for other citizens just to make them stop is a terrible precedent to set. Never negotiate with terrorists.
I made a reference to him as well...Newsom.

What's astounding is that there are Americans that are supporting this. What's astounding is that some aren't looking below the surface.

The name of the organization is noble. Who could disagree with that? Of course black lives matter. What kind of a horrid excuse of a human being would say that they don't? In reality - What that noble name functions as a smokescreen for is chilling.
