The man fatally shot by Vallejo police as the city erupted in chaos Tuesday was kneeling outside a Walgreens and not carrying a firearm when an officer opened fire — sending five bullets through his own windshield.
Sean Monterrosa, 22, of San Francisco died after the shooting at around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, but police did not tell the public the man was killed — or disclose the circumstances of the shooting — until Wednesday at a news conference outside City Hall,

These kind of excuses need to stop especially when you shoot an unarmed man while he is on his knees and has his hands in the airthe officer believed he saw the butt of a handgun poking out near Monterrosa’s waist, and opened fire “due to this perceived threat.”

Yes all because he perceived a threat from a man with his hands in the air and a hammer in his belt. It must be rough sitting in your police car and witness such a threat as a kneeling black man . Crazy times we’re living in where that is actually used as an excuse for murder.

The perceived threat reason is the same as when they say they smell marijuana during a traffic stop. It’s easy to hide behind and completely overused.

Couldn’t help but notice they had to throw in the victim’s rap sheet as if somehow his past activities justify shooting him. He was kneeling with his hands up, he wasn’t holding a gun in his hands threatening people.Thelma Harper wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 3:42 pmIt was an unmarked cruiser toohmmm666 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 3:36 pmYes all because he perceived a threat from a man with his hands in the air and a hammer in his belt.
