The French government has officially sanctioned prescriptions of chloroquine to treat certain coronavirus patients. In the United States, President Donald Trump has also been touting the use of chloroquine and two other anti-malaria drugs to fight the virus.

"Chloroquine, a compound commonly found in fish-tank cleaners, also forms the basis of a prescription drug used for malaria. There are studies underway to conclude whether that drug, and a variant called hydroxychloroquine, could combat the coronavirus.

But the fish-tank cleaner is not the same as the prescription drug, and it shouldn’t be substituted as such. A man in Arizona recently died from ingesting it."

Of course, it wasn't the same form as hydroxychloroquine. Trump is still to blame. If he hadn't mentioned 'chloroquine' as a possible preventative, those two morons wouldn't have ingested the chemical and people wouldn't be hoarding the actual drug. Trump is still an idiot.

We all know "radiation" is used for cancer but no one is rolling around in uranium on their own to treat themselves. If they did, no one would blame anyone but the idiots who did it to themselves.

moral of the story, don't self prescribe. don't blame others for your own stupidity.

OR the president could be responsible and wait for the doctors to announce and explain a treatment instead of blurting out incomplete information to desperate people during a worldwide pandemic.

"Career scientists have been skeptical of the effort, noting the lack of data on the drug’s efficacy for coronavirus care and worried that it would siphon medication away from patients who need it for other conditions, calling instead for the agency to pursue its usual clinical trials."

"At the White House press briefing last week, Fauci tamped down Trump's enthusiasm for hydroxychloroquine when he was asked if there was any evidence to suggest the drug could be used to prevent coronavirus
"No. The answer is no," Fauci said, adding that there was only anecdotal evidence that hydroxychloroquine could be an effective therapy for people with coronavirus."

The legitimate news reported that a couple took a version of the drug. They reported that the couple said they took it after they read Trump’s tweet. Where’s the lie? What isn’t accurate?

Quinine is found within the bark of a dogwood tree. Anyone with those types around them is surrounded by the suggested treatment interestingly enough...

question, how did the media lie? the surviving spouse literally said they drank the chemical because of what trump said. “the media” simply quoted her. It’s the definition of accurate reporting.
