During the White House press briefing on Sunday evening, Donald Trump held the media event outside in the Rose Garden...However, when PBS NewsHour reporter Yamiche Alcindor asked the President about his previous comments on The Sean Hannity Show, Trump appeared to lose his cool.

“Why can’t you people act… why don’t you act in a little more positive… it’s always trying to getcha.. getcha, getcha. It’s why nobody trusts the media anymore. That’s why you used to work for the Times and now you work for somebody else.”

Continuing to cut off Alcindor’s questioning, which was concerning the number of ventilators needed in New York, Trump said, “Be nice. Don’t be threatening. Be nice.”

The exact quote Alcindor is referring to is from when Trump called into Sean Hannity’s show on Fox News on Friday night. He said of New York’s dire need for ventilators, “I have a feeling that a lot of the numbers that are being said in some areas are just bigger than they’re going to be. I don’t believe you need 40,000 or 30,000 ventilators.”

While Alcindor tried to finish asking her question, her mic was cut and Trump moved along to the next reporter. However, when it was time for CNN’s Jeremy Diamond to speak, he passed the microphone back to Alcindor so she could finally finish asking her question.

Two weeks ago he said a question from the same reporter about why the NSC pandemic response team had been disbanded a “nasty question”.

What a pathetic little snowflake.

She's both a woman and a POC, no wonder he feels comfortable being like that to her. What a POS. Nice to see some solidarity in the media with the mike being handed back to her. That should be standard operating procedure any more. A legit question that Trump tries to dodge or where he blatantly lies should just be asked by the next person. Stop letting him off the hook.

The reporters need to be much more harder with Trump. The other reporter that the mic got passed to should have said "Mr. President, the people want to here the truth, why did you refuse NY the respirators that they requested?" And if Trump cut that person off the next reporter should have asked the same question. And on and on and tell he answered the question or left. If he stopped giving press conferences that would probably be a good thing.

But I'm still the winner! They lied! They cheated! They stole the election!

He should stop answering them. Just say “that’s an inappropriate question, do you have an appropriate one? If not, move to someone else. The next time they start to harass him over ridiculous things he should throw them out.

I’m so sick of some of these reporters. They truly are hacks and have no journalistic bone in their body.

How is asking him about his own statements regarding ventilators “inappropriate”, particularly when he’s the head of the branch that will decide how many ventilators the federal government doles out? The clip makes it clear he first instinct is to lie when simply read his own words, but if he seriously feels that’s inappropriate and threatening, he’s an even bigger wuss than he lets on.

Seriously, on what planet is asking him about his own words, freely shared on national television, harassment?

He just did it again today with another (female, POC, natch) reporter who asked him to clarify Kushner's statement yesterday about who the National stockpile is for (and why the language on the website changed after Kushner's press conference).

The Trump administration just changed its description of the national stockpile to jibe with Jared Kushner’s controversial claim

Taking his words out of context is inappropriate. We don’t need that now. We need him, the reporters and all others that speak to just give information and stop nitpicking every word or phrase. Especially reporters. There’s so much they should be asking, but nope. Let’s take just a phrase out of context and ask 20 times in 10 different ways to explain it.
