President Donald Trump weighed in on the Nevada Democratic caucuses overnight, congratulating Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders on his big win and warning the Democratic socialist that the Democratic National Committee might try to “steal” Sanders’ victory.

Sanders won Nevada Saturday by an almost two-to-one margin. With around 60% of the vote currently being reported, Sanders has a commanding lead over presumptive second-place finisher, former Vice President Joe Biden, according to the New York Times, 46% to 19%. Former South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg is in third with 15%, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is holding on to fourth place with just over 10%.

Trump seemed happy about the results, tweeting that Sanders was “doing well” in the “Great State of Nevada.”

“Looks like Crazy Bernie is doing well in the Great State of Nevada,” Trump said on social media. “Biden & the rest look weak, & no way Mini Mike can restart his campaign after the worst debate performance in the history of Presidential Debates. Congratulations Bernie, & don’t let them take it away from you.”

He knows that if Bernie wins the primaries, he’ll get his re-election.

Sanders has now won 31 delegates. 1,991 are needed to win the nomination. Can we just chill for a bit?

Crazy is a good adjective for Bernie.

He thinks. Bernie is going to be another Trump where people didn’t think he’d win.

It’s so odd to me how you keep repeating this with such (baseless) certainty.. The last four democrats to run for president have been moderate centrists, and the only one who didn’t lose to an extremist won because he pretended to be a progressive (and both of the republicans he beat were moderates). The facts simply do not bear out this notion that people want a centrist, and it’s a fact that liberal ideas are measurably more popular than conservative ones.

And yet, much more people are speaking against extremists because after Trump, more and more people are tired of it. Many, Ike myself, feel “homeless” in this bipartisan/extremist system.
Second, most people tired of extremism don’t support Bernie’s socialism. In fact most Americans say they wouldn’t vote for a socialist candidate:

https://thehill.com/hilltv/what-americ ... vote-for-a

So if Trump won even after losing the popular vote, how do you think he’ll do when the majority of Americans are already saying they wouldn’t vote for Bernie? Maybe he can also pull a EC win, but it seems unlikely.

And third, Trump knows how to fight extremists. Takes one to know one and takes one to bring another one down. He has a harder time fighting people with sensible ideas. Trump will simply pull harder on that tug-of-war rope and inflate his base and their MAGA pride even further. Or, as he is doing now, he’ll simply let the other extremist be the “crazy” one for a while. He will manage to sweep the floor with Bernie and his socialism much better than he could with Hillary. With Hillary, he needed to come up with “crooked” things and throw accusations. With Bernie, he doesn’t need to do much besides coming up with one of his childish nicknames. “Crazy Bernie”, apparently. That’s why he’s going all out against Bloomberg, but Bernie, he’s just calling “crazy”. Because the former could take votes away from those who are “homeless” in this extremist system. Bernie, not so much.

As I said, I’ve heard of many people who hate Trump, but given the choice between him and Bernie, they would go for Trump. Fact is, Bernie won’t “steal” any votes from Trump. Not with his socialist nonsense, people don’t jump from disliking to Trump to being hardcore socialists in 4 years. Those who were faithful to Trump before, will be faithful to him still. And those who weren’t and voted for Hillary because they hated Trump... chances are they won’t do the same for Bernie. I know I won’t. A moderate could steal those votes from Trump and maybe some votes from those who were disillusioned by the reality of Trump.

Well, he was in 2016, so why not do it again? 😁
I mean, it’s not like Trump will get in trouble for it.
