The Trump administration announced Wednesday it would move to scrap a major court agreement in order to allow for migrant families to be detained longer as their cases are being considered, instead of having to release them after 20 days.

“We want to keep families together through an immigration proceeding that's fair and expeditious in an appropriate setting,” he said. “That can't be done in 20 days with due process."

This keeps families together longer while they are being legally processed after crossing into the country illegally. Seems like a win.

A win? They cross into this country illegally. Before they even jump in the bus to leave their home county they are all well aware of the 'system' in this country, and yet.....they still come. They know about the separation they will "suffer and endure" and yet they still willingly come. Because their eyes are on the prize. They know that eventually they will enter this country and immediately qualify for every freebie this country has to offer. And then once they are secure in a house with food stamp free medical care free transportation free every thing, they will rally and hold signs complaining about this country.
Nope not even close to a win for the United States

It's not a win for the United States. But it's a win for the Progressives who claim we're taking innocent children away from innocent parents.

It's disgusting but not surprising. Flores ensured that children in custody were treated humanely. This administration is now saying that they will disregard Flores. They will keep children incarcerated indefinitely in inhumane conditions and we are supposed to cheer? This is an administration that argued that toothbrushes and soap were not necessary! The US is churning out thousands of children who have been severely traumatized by our country and we are supposed to be "happy" because instead of offering humane treatment, we are going to contain them longer. FFS, our country sucks.

Do you feel that keeping families together in facilities which have been cited for inhumane treatment is a win?
