Trump signs executive order delivering 'hard-hitting' sanctions against Iran

President Trump struck back Monday at Iran by issuing “hard-hitting” financial sanctions against Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his associates.

“Today's action follows a series of aggressive behaviors by the Iranian regime in recent weeks including shooting down a U.S. drone,” the president said in the Oval Office, calling Khamenei “responsible for the hostile conduct of the regime.”

“Hating” a country is a lot different than going to war with a country. Our country lifted sanctions with Iran because they were following the agreement signed in 2015. There was no evidence of their not following the agreement. Trump destroyed the agreement and reinstated sanctions. Trump claimed it wasn’t tough enough. Iran now has absolutely no incentive to stop building nuclear weapons. Why would they?

The IAEA was in charge of verifying it. The plan that has no verification abilities is North Korea. I hope you’re not getting your information from Trump. He’s a well known liar.

Saudi Arabia and Israel weren’t happy with the plan. No plan will be perfect and no plan will make every one happy. But why should the United States the ones in charge of sending troops and weapons to Iran?
