A Richmond, Virginia, elementary school named after a Confederate general will now be renamed to honor the country’s first black president, Barack Obama.

Richmond is a city with a census of 48% black and 47% white. I think it's neat that we have a school named after the 1st black president in a city that was a major shipping point and market for slave traders.
