When I write papers, I do so for my honors English class in college. I don't have time to argue with a bunch of strangers about stupid shit...obviously.

Means of production is communisiom? That's an odd statement.Lemons wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 5:29 pmWhen speaking primarily of countries with large socialist programs, those are not “safety nets” those are benefits to every citizen regardless of need. You’re fixated on “means of production” which is more like communism. Get into this century.Carpy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 5:16 pmSocial safety nets are not socialism. The means of production is solidly in the hands of private capital.Pjmm wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 4:38 pm
They're social programs are they not? But I'm not going to keep going back and forth with this. I'm not going to attempt to drag answers out of you about what I don't understand and why my examples are wrong. So we'll just agree to disagree and I'll do some reading about socialism and other political systems instead.

I read that and all I could think is "what the f**k kind of nonsense is that?"Billie.jeens wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 5:35 pmYeah Carpy!
Don't fixate on the actual meaning - focus on what the Progressives are trying to sell.
Good grief.
Full government control, I left that out. What you said.Carpy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 10:02 pmMeans of production is communisiom? That's an odd statement.
lol. You know what? Your reaction to a simple comment is way overplayed. Continue with your exaggerated, defensive comments. It’s amusing.TheQueenOfEverything wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 10:04 pm well we wouldn’t want you to waste one more moment of your precious, valuable time on us! there’s a little red “x” at the top of your screen, just one little click and we’ll be out of your hair, leaving you to all the better things you have to do.mater-three wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 8:59 pm

Denmark's corporate tax rate is 24.5%. Sweden's is 22%. These countries focus tax on earned income and VAT. They have a flat tax rate. The middle class is hardest hit.Lemons wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 11:32 pmFull government control, I left that out. What you said.
What do you think about Denmark’s government and the fact that the citizens pay twice as much money in taxes as us. Corporate taxes range from 28% to 78%. Sales tax is 25%. Denmark has poverty but out country has three times as much. They have massive socialist programs yet their venture capitalist as a percent of the GDP is higher than the US.
No system is perfect. Taking the best from all of them is the best way to go and being free from fear of trying new ways.
