I wrote it.
I see. I don’t have that much time on my hands.
Obviously.

Everyone knows the most successful socialist democracies are Denmark, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Canada, Netherlands. These countries all have hugely successful socialist programs. Other democracies have many more parties than we do including green parties and socialist parties and aren’t scared of the word socialism and “Green”.

Capitalism has its share of problems too, mostly with wealth inequality, a new study shows wealth concentration is at levels that haven’t been seen since the 1920’s just before the Great Depression.

Republicans have also been conditioned to point out the top 10% pay most of the income taxes. Not surprising since the 400 richest Americans own more equity than the bottom 60%, or 150 million Americans. The worry over this handful of Americans who are doing just fine fascinates me.
How is Canada a socialist country?
Canada has forms of socialism, it’s not 100% a socialist country. I said there were no 100% socialist countries, just countries who aren’t afraid of the word and know how to use it correctly.

In this country middle class republicans have been conditioned to see it as evil even when they dont fully understand it and it’s in their own best interest. They fight against taxing the 1% harder than the 1% does.

I didn't notice you asking her what it was that she thinks that we don't understand about it.

Because it sounds right to me. No country is truly capitalist or socialist. Examples of socialism here are EIC, social security, welfare, perhaps state scholarships for college. And most Republicans aren't all that fond of them. Democrats are. So that's why I asked you what doesn't she understand?

Those are not examples.

They're social programs are they not? But I'm not going to keep going back and forth with this. I'm not going to attempt to drag answers out of you about what I don't understand and why my examples are wrong. So we'll just agree to disagree and I'll do some reading about socialism and other political systems instead.
