Talent show auditions in Elementary school?

average competition is good character building. Sorry but precious has to learn that they aren't the best at everything and deserves to be involved in everthing.

I liked the way it was managed at my kids' elementary school. Auditions were not for the purpose of excluding others. It didn't matter if the show was an hour long or three. They just made the kids "audition" to make sure they would be doing appropriate things, with appropriate music, and would actually be able to perform onstage as opposed to embarassing themselves.
