I follow her on both IG and Twitter and quite often, I like what she has to say.

She will receive a lot of backlash for this but then again, she never seems to care about being controversial, which I respect.

I haven't seen or heard anyone making George Floyd out to be a Saint, other than maybe his family, but that's to be expected.

He could have been Hitler on speed for all I care.

Agreed. Regardless of his past, the point remains that he did not deserve to die, especially not in such a horrible way. I don’t know why people continue to choose to harp on irrelevant details rather than focusing on the matter at hand and the injustice that occurred. His death was entirely senseless and completely avoidable. So tragic.

She was a child at the time so it likely didn't go to her. I don't know what her parents did with it, who I'm guessing were the recipients. It was a small amount, so I hope they kept it as compensation for their aggravation of being dragged into this situation and having to perform in front of the cameras for an organization's benefit.

Quite the strawman Candy has created there. I don’t think the vast majority of people know or care about whether Floyd was a saint or a career criminal or somewhere in between, they just know and care that he was murdered by the police in a country that has a problem with systemic racism.

Pretty much how I feel. He didn't deserve to die as he did. Not over 20 dollars he may or may not have known was counterfeit. If he committed a heinous crime then he can get his day in court like everyone else. But the police became the executor and that's not their job. And that frightens me. Because my sons or I could be next. Someone I care about could be next. It's something that worries even me so I see why the black community is even more frightened.
