Not really.
I don’t really believe in “love” in the traditional sense — meaning this life long uncontrollable feeling of adoration or longing for one soul. I think most people do have to settle, as no partner is perfect — We are all flawed.
I think we choose our feelings and therefore who to love and both partners have to work at it, to make a good relationship.
Do you agree with this advice?

No, I do not. I’m not sure which bothers me more the insult of men being incapable, the insult to women that they need a man and should settle, or the insult of the implication of taking advantage of another person’s affection. I dated several guys who had stronger feelings for me than I had for them. I married the one who had as strong of feelings for me as I do him. I wouldn’t change that for the world.
I've always heard it's better to be the one who is loved more than the one who loves more. I can see the truth in that as I get older.
As for the replies throwing the man pity party, enough. It's a little old now.
