Do you have one?
We love Christmas so much...*squeals*

Im sorry, I think everyone thinks we do something every single day but that's not the case. We do something every weekend starting this weekend when we go get the tree. But other than the weekends being busy its pretty much sporadically throughout the next 8 weeks.
We also have 7 birthdays parties mixed in between the last week of November and the first half of January.

This is done in 1 weekend:
Go to a xmas tree farm and chop down a xmas tree
Put up and decorate the xmas tree
Decorate the interior of the house
Decorate the exterior of the house and yard
Hang your stockings on the mantel

This is done in 1 day
Hang your mistletoe
Put up the xmas village
Have the kids write to santa with their xmas wish lists and mail them
Take your family christmas photo
Put up your advent calendar and fill it with objects and candy

This is done in 1 weekend except the Elf on the shelf, which is everyday or every other day
Make popcorn garland for the tree or just eat it
Make paper snowflakes and hang them in the windows
Start hiding your elf on a shelf doll every night
Make or buy christmas wreaths and hang them
Make snow globes

This is one weekend
Make or decorate ugly christmas sweaters
Organize and throw an ugly christmas sweater party
Play your christmas music playlist all month long
Go on a sleigh ride and sing jingle bells
Make cookies, host a cookie exchange

This only takes up 1 to 2 days tops
Make and build gingerbread houses or an entire village.
Have a pajama day one weekend, everyone stays in the pj's to binge watch xmas movies or play board and card games
Go caroling with family and friends, if that's still a thing in your area
Drive around looking at all of the christmas decorations and lights every chance you get
Drink hot chocolate with a candy cane as a stirrer by the fire every chance you get

Another weekend to do list except for the parties
Attend tree lighting ceremony or two, several even
Go to as many christmas parties as possible
Go to a christmas fair or festival
Organize a secret santa gift exchange at work
Go see Santa and have picture taken (kids and adults)

These only take 1 or 2 days except for movie night
Make ornaments for the tree and to give away
Create a family capsule ornament for the past year
Make homemade or fill out christmas cards and mail them
Go on a xmas scavenger hunt and invite friends and neighbors to join in
Watch christmas movies every night

The skiing, sledding and skiing can be done in 1 day depending on what family members prefer to do
Go see the Nutcracker, the Rockettes, A christmas carol, Cirque du Soleil: 'Twas the Night Before, Trans-Siberian Orchestra
Go skiing and sledding, a few times
Go ice skating, a few times
Go on a spur of the moment road trip and sing xmas carols
Make birdseed ornaments and hang them outside for the birds

Another weekend. :)
Make snow cream every time it snows
One night have a slumber party and sleep underneath or beside the xmas tree
Buy toys and clothes for children and donate them, everyone deserves at least one gift at xmas.
Build a snowman, woman and kids (weather permitting of course)
Have a snowball fight (weather permitting of course)
Write each of your children a letter about how they’ve grown in the past year and what an amazing kid they are!
Volunteer at soup kitchens or animals shelters throughout the month

This is done sporadically throught the month
Do random acts of kindness all month long like: donate food, toys and clothing, pay the toll for the person behind you, pay the parking meters for a stranger, buy coffee or dinner for military personal, send a care package to a soldier, hold doors for strangers, buy coffee for someone behind you in line, thank your kids teachers, buy extra supplies for your kids classrooms, share you umbrella with a stranger on a rainy day, help the elderly whenever you see they need help, leave change in a vending machine for someone else, go to your local nursing homes and visit with the elderly, tip your sanitation and mail carriers,

These are done in 1 night and add in 1 more for the gift wrapping party
Wrap all of the gifts and put them underneath the tree...party time
Attend midnight christmas eve service or not :)
Read Twas the night before xmas on christmas eve
Set out cookies and milk for Santa Claus
Make reindeer food (oats and glitter) and sprinkle outside for the reindeer

Yes, we do. Most of them I put in our advent calendar, and the kids get excited to see what Christmas activity we have planned each day.

That list sounds exhausting.

Mine are take the time I get off of work to go visit family, and probably order a few things for gifts from Amazon on black friday. I'll put up a tree and some decorations for my dad. That's it. :)

Mine
Decorate
Dont go broke buying gifts
Enjoy being together as a family no matter what that looks like or where it takes us

Quite honestly we are bigger on just enjoying what we want to do this year than having traditions we later dont want to change because we have always done it. However this year we have planned:
Christmas craft day with my mom
Pottery painting
Make cookies

That's about it so far

For someone that hates crafts and is an introvert, that sounds painfully exhausting.

Ours is a much shorter list:

Get a tree and decorate our house, inside and out

make Christmas cookies, and usually some other Christmas treat, like a gingerbread house

visit a couple of Christmas displays in our area

go out for Chinese food on Christmas Eve

gifts and Christmas dinner with family on Christmas Day
