I smell like cookies, cupcakes, and frosting!

Homecoming for ODS’s school is tomorrow, so all the 5th grade parents need to donate two dozen baked goods to the bake sale (cookies must be 3 to a pack unless they’re giant or decorated). They don’t have to be homemade, but my son insisted we make them.....and I insisted he help. So we have 7 packages of sugar cookies and 22 vanilla cupcakes with chocolate frosting. They’re not the prettiest but they taste good!

I don't think it's a bad thing. Good luck with the bake sale.

I am not into any school that requires things like that and if my kid "insisted" that they be homemade, they'd be making them on their own.

That's just crazy to me. Homecoming is only a thing in high school here. Cheerleaders decorate the locker room and provide the football team with Gatorade and snacks. Mums are huge here. how do you post pics here?

How fun! We don't have bake sales.

But for parties and such, DD 's school doesn't allow anything homemade. It must be store bought, sealed, and with the ingredients listed.

I actually prefer that.

I can’t decorate cupcakes.. I would be too tempted to eat one.
I’m going to spend my weekend making paper flowers(yay) for homecoming.

I can never resist a bake sale.

Some of the best breads, cupcakes and cookies I've ever had has come from them. Good luck, and have fun!
