....all the guidelines and even my pedi recommends that baby stays in the room until 6 months. My baby is three months and my in laws and husband are making a huge deal about putting baby in their own room and crib at night due to sids... I think baby will be fine we have a video monitor to watch baby.

My son is 9 months and still in my room. I don't plan on putting him into his own room till next summer. Just thinking about it right now gives me major anxiety.

It's all up to preference. If my husband was that freaked out about it, I'd keep them in our room until 6 months.

Oh yeah. He was 8 months and 1 day old when he started crawling. I only remember because he was 8 months old the first day of school and he started crawling the next day. I've had to baby proof everything. My oldest never ever got into stuff/I never had to baby proof outside of gates with him but this one is on a mission to destroy everything lol.

Our youngest stayed in our room for a couple of months because she was hooked up to a monitor and stopped breathing. Once she was having less episodes, we moved her to her own room. If she had not been on a monitor needing constant care, she would have been in her room from day one when she came home from NICU. I am NOT a proponent of my children being in my room. Nope..it is my sanctuary and kids are not invited to sleep in there unless there are extenuating circumstances.
