Back where we use to live, I remember a time when the elderly neighbors who only came to the area in the summer came outside and came to our yard to be nice and give the kids candy. My daughter said my son looked at them and said you’re a stranger are you trying to kidnap us! Lol
He takes things quite serious and literal. He caught them off guard. I came out and saw their puzzled look and assured the kids it was ok. They are the neighbors and I let them accept the candy.
My son cracks me up.

I call my son Monkey when we are in public. Nobody needs to know his real name, unless they are family/friends. You can't trust anyone these days, and I've seen a lot of people try to get too close to kids by using their first names.
