During the spring and summer, I have white linen sheers on every window (except the kitchen) and french doors. In the fall and winter, I switch to black and dark gray linen sheers along with black out and room darkening thermal curtains.

Never, we've always had the same ones. We clean them, but don't change them. We actually brought them with us when we moved.

I went from Venetian blinds to curtains.

one house doesn’t have window treatments (all open). The beach house has blind and I don’t change them. The older home has curtains and we change them when needed.

Whenever I get tired of them, every year or so. Sometimes I just switch them to different rooms.
