That is literally my favorite childhood movie. I still remember every single line to the whole movie.

My Dad took me to the movies a lot when I was a kid. Not sure which was first, but we saw a re-release of Cinderella, and also Pinocchio, which included Mickey's Christmas Carol before the movie. I loved it.

I think it was Splash. Or Friday the 13th. Or ET.

I know it was early 80's.

Mine too. I ended up getting 2 copies of it for Christmas one year. It was the only thing I wanted, my parents each went out and bought me a copy (and didn't tell each other that they bought it for me). We traded the second copy for Fievel goes West.

The first I can remember is a Freddy Krueger movie. Don't know which one. I was maybe 3. My sister told me Freddy was going to pop out of the walls and get me so I went to sleep.

I must be old. I'm pretty sure Disney played Dumbo in the theaters and I saw it there. This was before videotapes. Even as a little girl that whole mother singing to Dumbo from jail business affected me.
