at THAT time, yes, she needed an ER....but since they treated her like shit, she should call her pcp

We can only go forward. My advice is what she should do now. And to he honest I'd have gone to an orthopedic or PCP to start with.
what would you do for an acute problem that popped up when your dr is closed? Lay there in excruciating pain unable to move waiting for a call back, or go to the ER?

She said she went yesterday. I assume her doc was open at some point yesterday. Mine would have seen me, so that's what I would have done. I don't understand the purpose of trying to make this an argument. Are you trying to make this an argument? Because that's what it seems like.

I don't really have a pcp. I go to a clinic and get assigned a different doctor everytime and because i was in good health i rarely went.Last visit was a physical last year.

ERs are not there to diagnose all conditions, they are there to rule out emergencies. They are correct that an x ray wouldn’t be profoundly helpful.

You need to follow up with your PCP. That’s the person who should be doing a non-emergent work up, not the ER.

then you need to call the clinic and let them know what's going on, and DEMAND an appt ASAP -- let them knowthe ER did nothing for you
